Greetings from Amgueddfa Cymru!
Here at Amgueddfa Cymru-National Museum of Wales we are hosting Vandana, Anjan and Amer for this year’s Training Programme. We’re had an incredibly busy week which began with our Welcome lunch in the Court Room where we heard presentations from all of this year’s participants.

At National Museum Cardiff they have met with the Librarian, spent a morning with Archaeology and Numismatics, an afternoon with our Learning department and a day with the Programmes and Presentations department where they were able to meet our designers, exhibition and programming staff and our Events Officer – so a very busy week!
Collections Centre, Nantgarw
Today we travelled out of town to the Collections Centre at Nantgarw where a lot of our collections are stored – mainly industrial and maritime related. Here we learned about storage, conservation and documentation and had a look around the large object stores where buses, boats and a helicopter are housed.
Later on today we will be visiting Cardiff Castle and we’re hoping that the rain will stay away as it’s been quite a wet week!
