ICOM UK interview with Roshan Mishra (Nepal, ITP 2018)

Back in January 2019 we shared a post on Andrea Terron’s (Guatemala, ITP 2017 and Senior Fellow 2018) interview with Dana Andrew (Executive Director, ICOM UK) which is part of a series of global conversations which ICOM UK are carrying out with museum professionals across the world.

We are delighted to announce that Roshan Mishra (Nepal, ITP 2018) has also joined the list of colleagues from Chile, China, German, South Africa and Zimbabwe sharing news and views from the museum sector in Nepal.

As Director/Curator of Taragaon Museum, Roshan talks about his institution, his exciting new projects and programmes, the wider museum sector in Nepal and its challenges and his hopes for the future. We hope you’ll read his interview and perhaps think about what you could share about museums and culture in your own countries.

If you would like to be interviewed by ICOM UK and have an interesting perspective to give, whether that be about your institution and your role in it; your ICOM involvement and experience in your country; or a project or programme you are working on which demonstrates what is relevant and current in your museum sector, please contact me and I will put you in touch with Dana.

Enjoy reading all of the interviews, which provide wonderful insights into the unique priorities of museum sectors in countries across the world, and I look forward to hearing from you!
