ITP from Home: How to Keep in Touch With the ITP Network

Many museums and institutions around the world have announced temporary closures to help protect their staff and visitors from the spread of COVID-19. A number of countries have also enacted ‘lockdown’ procedures, encouraging people to stay and work from home as much as they can.

As a result the ITP team and many members of the ITP network are working at home and are having to spend much of their time indoors.

However, there are still plenty of ways to keep in touch with members of the ITP global network!

The Blog

As always, we will continue to share updates for the International Training Programme and our upcoming work and projects on the ITP blog.

We recently started a new series of blogs: ITP from Home. As we continue to work from home, the ITP team will keep sharing the latest updates from our home offices.

At this time of remote working and social distancing, we would love to hear from the ITP fellows. Thank you to everyone who has already been in touch and made submissions to the ITP blog. We want to hear from more of you!

Are you working from home? Tell us about your Museum from Home! Tell us about your latest projects, career updates, what you enjoy doing in your spare time. A submission to the ITP blog could be about almost anything!

Our Facebook Group

There are over 600 members of the British Museum International Training Programme Facebook group and it is one of the best ways to stay connected with the ITP and its global network.

We regularly share updates relating to the ITP and what we’ve been up to. So if you haven’t joined our Facebook Group, do it now and stay connected!

Twitter

The ITP is on Twitter. Here you can see updates from the blog and news about what is happening with the ITP. Twitter is also a good place to interact and keep in touch with our network of UK partners.

We have also been sharing updates about our ongoing project with Worcester Polytechnic Institute to create a new online exhibition.

So if you use Twitter, give @britmusITP a follow and say hello!

Instagram

Our newest social media page is the ITP Instagram! Here we share photos of our work around the British Museum and our new home offices. We share old pictures from previous summer programmes, so Instagram is great place for a trip down memory lane!

We have also been receiving photos from the network, so please send us pictures you would like us to share on our page! Follow us on Instagram @britmusitp

Send us an email

Thank you to everyone who has already got in touch by email with their uplifting messages.
