Next week, Wednesday 19th January 2022 is Museum Selfie Day!

Museums all over the world are getting involved by encouraging museum professionals and the general public to go to a museum and take a selfie.

Museum Selfie Day aims to promote awareness of museums and collections all over the world and adds a modern twist to the museum experience.

For the past two years the ITP network has got involved with Museum Selfie Day by sharing their selfies on social media. It’s been one of the many online trends we’ve enjoyed participating in, as much of our communications have moved online.

We hope you will join us again in 2022 by sharing your selfies!

To get involved take a selfie inside (or outside!) the museum you work in, or at a museum or heritage site you have visited. Share your photo on social media on Wednesday 19 January, or send your photo to the ITP team in advance to share on your behalf!

Make sure to tag the ITP in your photos so we can find them.

You can post your selfie to the ITP Facebook group, or tag us on Twitter or Instagram using @britmusitp.
