ITP Conference Grant Report from Hadeer Ahmed Mohamed Belal (Egypt, ITP Fellow 2013)

We were delighted to be able to carry-over an ITP Conference Grant from 2022 to 2023 to support Hadeer Ahmed Mohamed Belal (Egypt, ITP Fellow 2013) to attend the CRE Conference – Current Research in Egyptology – 2023 at the Universität Basel, Basel, Switzerland from 10-14 September 2023.

At the conference, Hadeer spoke and presented a paper on Repatriated Treasures: The Collection at the Egyptian Museum, Cairo.

Hadeer, as member of the Registration and Documentation collection management database department at the Egyptian Museum in Cairo, shared news on the registration of repatriated objects in storage at the Egyptian Museum.  As well as sharing information on the process and procedure, Hadeer was able to focus on the challenges and successes of the project.

Hadeer’s participation in the CRE 2023 added to her professional career and academic development and enabled her to extend and improve her professional networks.

We are delighted to have been able to support Hadeer to attend and speak at the conference in Basel and are now able to share her lovely report which includes her fascinating abstract.
