Hello from Alejandra, new ITP support!
Written by Alejandra Reyes-Gonzalez
My name is Alejandra and this summer I will be supporting the ITP team to deliver the annual programme 2024.
I studied visual arts project management at the University of Chile, my home country. I worked as assistant for the Pablo Neruda’s Foundation at the National museum of Chile (NMBA) and then at Palais du Glace in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I founded Totem Visual Arts which aims to promote and support artists from different cultures, with women and multiculturalism being my main point of interest. The project ‘Woman Multicultural Mediator’ became one of the first women’s art exhibition projects at the time (2013) in Milan, Italy.
I am thrilled to be working with the ITP alongside such an enthusiastic and collaborative team. I am grateful to be a part of a programme that provides opportunities for fellows to represent diverse cultures and bring new perspectives. My role involves assisting international fellows from various countries who are coming to the United Kingdom. It is my responsibility to ensure that their experience is unforgettable by building new relationships, partnerships, and networks.
As a member of the ITP team, I will share my skills and knowledge gained from my studies in visual arts project management by organising and curating art exhibitions in countries such as Kazakhstan, Italy, Chile, and England.
In my free time, I enjoy visiting art galleries to stay updated on modern art trends and also I like to draw in my quiet hours.
I’m really looking forward to meeting the upcoming 2024 cohort, as well as connecting with the network of previous fellows, and to sharing my experiences with you all on the ITP website and social media platforms.
