On the first day of my arrival to London, I was given a warm welcome by the ITP organisers, Ian Jenkins and the staff of the Department of Greece and Rome. To meet with participants coming from different cultures was very exciting – and while walking through the magnificent galleries at the BM, I was touched by the huge collections from different cultures.
During the first week at BM, we spent most of the time at conservation labs, exhibition galleries, and storage rooms. So, we had a chance to observe different techniques. I believe this Programme will offer a good opportunity for developing the cooperation between BM and the museums in my country, Turkey.
