Biography
Tatiana works as Communities, Accessibility and Inclusion Program Coordinator for Museo Nacional de Colombia where she is responsible for managing and promoting collaborations across the museum’s departments, as well as with other public and private entities. She also supports with the design and implementation of education programmes for a wide range of audiences, including children and the elderly, as well as those who are homeless, or have disabilities.
Tatiana is an advocate for collaboration and is interested in facilitating knowledge exchanges that contribute to the advancement of educational, community orientated, and socially impactful museums and heritage projects that benefit communities.
During her time on the ITP, Tatiana looked forward to gaining an understanding of museum management practices, including curatorial strategies, educational outreach, community engagement and social sustainability. More specifically, she was keen to learn more about the process of developing community-based co-curation projects, and ways of developing programmes for people with disabilities and other vulnerable people, particularly that encourage discussions around mental health and emotional wellbeing.
Tatiana looked forward to sharing her knowledge and experiences on topics such as care, accessibility, communities and inclusion, and hoped that by creating new connections she would discover new perspectives that challenge her own.
